Curriculum Project

I created a curriculum project. The projects aim is to highlight the importance of wellbeing, sanitation and personal hygiene through an artistic and scientific approach. The project seamlessly blends both art and scientific inquiry together to bring to life the hidden world of bacteria in an abstract manner.

Through hands-on experiments and artistic work such as gel printing, embroidery, collage and soap making students will develop a deeper appreciation for their surroundings and learn the significance of personal hygiene. Students will learn the importance of art in campaigns and how it can creatively enhance an educational message. They will also explore how art and science can be combined to strengthen and support each other’s concepts, offering a more powerful and engaging approach to learning.

Literature Review

Before developing the curriculum project, I completed a literature review that served as the foundation for my research. This review explores key principles such as the importance of well-being, sanitation, and personal hygiene, all approached through a blend of artistic and scientific perspectives.

The project seamlessly integrates both art and scientific inquiry, bringing the hidden world of bacteria to life in a creative, abstract manner. By combining these disciplines, it highlights the often-overlooked aspects of our everyday environment, offering students a unique way to explore cleanliness and hygiene through an artistic lens.

Short Course

I created this short course as part of a group project, and it is designed to engage students with art history through a focus on the Dadaism movement and contemporary artistic processes. This course aims to enhance students' ability to critically analyze and respond to art by exploring not just the final works but the creative processes behind them. Through a series of workshops with a local artist, students will learn about the techniques and materials used by both the local artist and key figures from the Dada movement.

The course encourages research, discussion, and collaboration, with students developing key skills in literacy, creativity, and communication. At the conclusion of the course, students will present their findings in a PowerPoint presentation, comparing and contrasting the work of the local artist and a Dadaist artist. Assessment will be based on research skills, presentation quality, and the ability to engage critically with the material
